HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?
Microblading, Ombrè Powder Fill and Combination Brows(Combo) durability vary depending on individual’s skin type and lifestyle. These treatments are considered semi-permanent and will not wash off, but will fade over time. Untouched, the pigment will last up-to 3 years.
The frequency of touch ups needed depend on a few variables including but not limited to; iron deficiency (pigment is an iron oxide base and body will absorb this much quicker if iron deficient), lightness of pigment used (lighter colors tend to fade quicker), sun exposure (the more sun exposure on the treated area will not only make it fade quicker but can also alter the color), treatments (chemical peels, lasers, topical Retinols or anti-aging products will make the pigment fade quicker).
Final results can not be guaranteed, everyone is unique and heals differently. We will work with you and reassess your brows to get your desired results. Hair strokes may heal more crisp on dryer skin types, and oily skin types may fade quicker and/or can blur. This also does not mean that they will, everyone heals uniquely. The touch up allows us to evaluate how your skin is accepting the pigment and we will make any necessary adjustments then.
IS IT PAINFUL?
There is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area before and during the procedure. People say the sensation is similar to getting threaded and/or tweezing.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BROW CONSULTATION?
Brow hair color is analyzed, and the desired shape is drawn on with a specialized pencil. We will draw each strand to create a symmetrical, natural-looking brow that is custom-made for your bone structure, giving you the chance to see how dramatically new brows change your face. Once you are satisfied with the shape and thickness, we consult with you on color. We mix and match the hue to ensure we get a shade that is closest to your natural hair color . We will also discuss the procedure, the after-care, how long it takes the skin to heal, and how to ensure the best results.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BROW TREATMENT?
We will create your brow by hand, strand by strand. A topical numbing cream is applied that stays on for as long as the procedure is on-going, and then a special tool is used to make small, hair stroke incisions in the skin underneath the brow, this technique is also known as Microblading. The shallow cuts are filled with pigments selected to compliment your skin tone. The treatment including consultation takes a maximum of 3 hours, with enough time to assess each step of the way.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
There is no downtime, however recovery time varies among individuals especially because of different lifestyle practices and environmental conditions. That said, the average recovery time is between 10 – 14 days. The brow will soften in color by up to 40-50%. During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A TOUCH-UP SESSION?
Touch-Up sessions are meant to re-do areas of the brow that may have lost some of the pigment during the healing process. They are not necessary for all clients as some heal perfectly and may not need to be re-done.
CAN PREGNANT WOMEN UNDERGO THE PROCEDURES?
Unfortunately NO. Neither expectant women nor lactating women can undergo the procedures. This is because the numbing cream may find it’s way to the bloodstream and eventually to the child. This is dangerous as it may negatively affect the health of the child. We advice all pregnant and lactating ladies against going through with any cosmetic procedures that may require opening of the skin or introduction of any foreign material into the body.
HOW SAFE IS THE EQUIPMENT USED?
At Brow Revamp, we take the safety and hygiene very seriously. All material used is specific and exclusive to individual clients.
